ARE YOU ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS?
Yes! Are you looking for a new eye doctor for yourself or your family? We offer pediatric eye exams and general optometry services for the whole family. As a new patient we recommend starting with an eye exam to get to know you and develop an eye care plan. Whether you’re coming to us for routine eye care, specialized care for eye diseases, contact lenses or glasses-- we have you covered. We provide care for patients with cataract, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Dr. Bechthold fits medically necessary scleral contact lenses for patients with corneal disease. She also does specialty contact lens fits for archery and pistol or rifle target shooting. Low vision exams and vision therapy services are also available.
Our doctors are certified by the American Board of Optometry. We have strong referral relationships with ophthalmology specialties in Hibbing, Virginia, Duluth and the Twin Cities. We communicate readily with primary care providers and refer to outside specialists as needed. We are always guided by the best interests of our patients.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
Bechthold Jensen Eye Care submits claims to many insurance companies. However, it is the patient’s responsibility to understand the coverage provided by your specific plan.
Your insurance plan may require a co-pay. If so, it will be collected on the day of service. Also, some services may be covered, but if your deductible isn’t met, you will still be responsible for these charges.
Bechthold Jensen Eye Care participates in Medicare, Minnesota Medical Assistance, and many commercial insurance plans including, but not limited to the following:
Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Health Partners
Medica
Preferred One
UCare
Humana
Tricare
Aetna
We do not participate in vision plans directly. We submit to medical insurance only. However, the staff at the front helps with paperwork needed to submit for reimbursement from several vision plans, including Davis Vision and EyeMed.

DO YOU HAVE A PATIENT PORTAL?
Yes! If you need any information from your last visit please sign into : mysecurehealthdata.com. If you opted out of the patient portal but changed your mind let us know, we can create a new log in for you. Under the patient registration page is a link to fill out new patient forms or update patient information.
